Policy and Procedure vs Infographic - what do you need?

Documented policies and procedures are central to management systems, and every quality standard that human services organisations operate under in Australia requires at least some processes to be documented. Generally, how these processes are documented are up to the organisation, with the design depending on the needs of the audience.

Some policies and procedures have to comply with legislation, and they can be wordy, dense, and lengthy. That’s okay, but what about your Support Workers that may not have the time or literacy skills to interpret a long policy and procedure?

Summarising policies and procedures into an infographic is one of my skills, and I can develop these for your organisation, or provide support for you to develop these on your own, using Canva. Canva is a free online graphic design tool that makes it easy to develop infographics, flow charts, and pictorial procedures.

Below is an example of what I can do for your organisation. The first image is of one of my template NDIS policies and procedures. When customised, it includes a lot of information about how your organisation provides person centred services. The second image is essentially the same policy and procedure, summarised into an infographic. The infographic is clear, concise, and is suitable for a Support Worker Handbook or other easy-reference document.
