Thank you for visiting my website. Being my first blog post, I thought I would tell you something about my reasons for being a Quality Nerd.
Firstly, I love simplicity. Quality Management shouldn’t be complicated. My intention is to write blog posts that break through the jargon and provide you with information that is clear and useable. There is a lot out there on the internet on this subject–I hope to help you find it, interpret it, and then use it in your own business. I write from my own experience, and hope you’ll share yours too, in the spirit of professional collaboration and common interest. I truly love Quality Management and all of its components, which I see as including (but not limited to) internal auditing, continual improvement activities, and process management. The reason I love it is because I think the people who receive our services deserve good services. How we deliver good services is through identifying our risks, and implementing quality control. This is the case for any type of business. In the context of human services, where most of my experience lies, I believe that people have the right to live with dignity; be treated as individuals and with respect; and have the right to choose and participate in how their services are delivered. I also believe that staff being equipped with the right tools and guidance enables and promotes this type of service delivery. This is in the front of my mind with every action I take working in Quality Management. As soon as I started working in Quality Management, I knew it was my job for life. I am very lucky to be able to work in a profession that I am passionate about, and I hope that you will get a sense of that passion through these blog posts. Thanks for reading, Clarisa
